Following consultation, the iris is examined using light and magnification. Digital photographs are also taken. The results are discussed, in relation to the presenting problem, in order for the patient to be able to relate cause and effect.

A relatively recent addition to the treatments available at the Herbal Clinic, acupuncture was initially intended for repairing musculoskeletal damage, such as that causing lower back pain, knee and hip problems, due to injury or systemic illness. It can however, be used for any patient who wishes to receive the treatment, in which case it facilitates and boosts the other healing modalities and assists the progression to health.
Mr James is trained in both a traditional understanding of acupuncture and current needling points and techniques used in Chinese hospitals today.
