Tui Na (Tuina) Massage is applied to the clothed body with the client either sitting or reclining on a couch. It is a vigorous massage but the pressure can be adjusted to individual needs, making this a therapy that is suitable for people of all ages, including children.

If a phobia of needles has ever put you off Acupuncture then Tui Na is an excellent alternative. It focuses on the same acupoints and can deliver relief from a wide range of conditions, even when used as a therapy on its own.

Sean Dowdall, has been studying traditional Chinese therapies for many years. He began practising Tai Chi over twenty years ago with the Nei Chia Association of Great Britain and has taught Tai Chi since 1999. He studied Tui Na and Acupuncture with Maria Mercati, a leading exponent and teacher of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the West based at the Body Harmonics Centre in Cheltenham.

Sean has visited China several times, practicing Tai Chi under Chinese masters and studying Acupuncture and Tui Na at the Shandong University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Jinan City.

Sean recommends the practice of  Tai Chi, a gentle form of exercise that has fantastic benefits at any age, but is particularly suited to people who wish to maintain good health and mobility in their senior years
